Sermon on the Mount: Best. Sermon. Ever.

Jesus gave the sermon on the mount as a counter-community for his followers.  He teaches us today to be different from the world on the one hand and false and hypocritical religion on the other.   Jesus the Son of God showed us the way into the Kingdom of Heaven.   He taught with astonishing authority, and his teaching is both more challenging and hopeful than any other teacher before or since.  In this sermon series we will cover the attitude and posture required to enter the Kingdom.  Jesus taught on anger, lust, divorce, revenge, love, giving, prayer, treasure, anxiety, judging others and fruitfulness. And so will we listen to him. I encourage you to read Matthew chapters 5 through 7 to prime your spiritual pump for the Best. Sermon. Ever.
