Our lifestyle is often an isolated and divided one. People are starving for relationships that are not the surface kind, but deep, meaningful relationships. At Grace, we call them redemptive relationships, where we can love one another freely and generously through the grace of Christ. Many of our relationships consist of mutual manipulation--the relationship will last or be valuable only as long as I get what I want from you and I give what you want from me. Our culture is marked by self-centered relationships. Being adopted into God's family through Jesus, even though we were once orphans in this world without our Heavenly Father, enables us to love one another selflessly.
Our community groups are our imperfect attempt at authentic and redemptive relationships. They consist of 8-12 people meeting in a home and you can expect good food, Bible study, and friendship. We take time out from our busy schedules to meet weekly and encourage one another. The Gospel teaches us that we are a gift to one another, and that we need one another as we seek to follow Jesus.
Our community groups are open to anyone. We want to be a church where you can ask questions and be treated with dignity and respect. We welcome the hurting and the searching, the disenfranchised, and the antagonistic, the lost and the proud. We aim to be a church of community groups and we encourage everyone to visit a few before finding one that is the right fit. We want our community groups to feel like home. Please check out the schedule for the times and locations where we meet throughout the week.
