PCA

The birth date of the Presbyterian Church of America is December 4, 1973. We were born because we strongly believed there was a need for a scriptural, evangelical and Reformed witness for Christ.  The new denomination began with 250 congregations and 50,000 members. We formed with a strong commitment to God's inerrant and inspired Word, fellowship which is committed to evangelism, and to Biblically faithful Christian education.

In 1983, the Reformed Presbyterian Church, Evangelical Synod, a Presbyterian denomination with roots in Scotland, joined the PCA. The roots of this denomination go back to the founding of Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis and Covenant College on Lookout Mountain in Georgia.

The Lord blessed us abundantly by growing the PCA to 300,000 members in 2000. Today, the PCA still adheres to the core values which caused our foundation. We sincerely desire to spread the Gospel to every land, to make disciples and to teach them the historic Christian doctrine found in the Bible.
